কার মিলন চাও: Ishq Aur Intezaar

A curated evening of music and poetry on love, longing, and what we miss or perhaps await.

Venue: KCC Amphitheatre

Date: 17th December, 2026

KCC presents কার মিলন চাও: Ishq Aur Intezaar, featuring vocalist Jayati Chakraborty and poet Srijato, as part of the music line-up at AMI Arts Festival 2026. The evening brings together Rabindra Sangeet, ghazal and contemporary poetry, drawing on ishq (love), firaq (separation) and visal (union). As winter sets in and the year draws to a close, a familiar song or a few lines of poetry can bring back memories of unfinished conversations, places we have not returned to and people we have not seen in years. কার মিলন চাও? Whose union do we seek?

As part of AMI Arts Festival 2026, Kolkata Centre for Creativity presents কার মিলন চাও: Ishq Aur Intezaar, featuring vocalist Jayati Chakraborty and poet Srijato in an evening of music and poetry centred on love, memory and longing.

As the year draws to a close, we often find ourselves returning to people, places and moments that remain with us. Some conversations remain unfinished, some connections exist only in memory, and some dreams continue to wait for their time.

The evening brings together the expressive possibilities of Rabindra Sangeet, the melancholy of the ghazal and contemporary poetry. Through music and words, it explores ishq (love), firaq (separation) and visal (union), considering longing in its many forms. It may be for a beloved, a distant home, a time that has passed or a possibility that never came to be.

The dialogue between Jayati Chakraborty's voice and Srijato's poetry moves beyond the familiar idea of romantic longing to reflect on memory, absence and the things we continue to hold close.

As one year gives way to another, the evening leaves us with a question:

কার মিলন চাও? Whose union do we seek?
