Kolkata Centre for Creativity presents Rhythm Roots, a 90-minute musical presentation curated by tabla maestro Pt. Hindole Majumdar, as part of AMI Arts Festival 2026.

Tabla, shree khol, mridangam and ghatam form the rhythmic centre of the concert, with violin and sarangi adding their melodic voices. Their distinct musical traditions give the ensemble a wide range of sounds to work with.

Through improvisation and musical exchange, the six instrumentalists explore the relationship between rhythm and melody, bringing familiar classical instruments together in a contemporary ensemble.
