Kolkata Centre for Creativity, as part of the theatre line up of AMI Arts Festival 7.0, presents Ek Lamhaa Zindagi – A Love Story 1938–1979, written, directed and performed by Juhi Babbar Soni.
Based on the true story of her grandparents, the play traces a relationship shaped by separation, social change and four decades of Indian history. Through romance, friendship, shayari and memory, the production follows two lives as the world around them changes. History is woven into the circumstances of their relationship, shaping the distances they endure and the choices they make. At its heart is a deeply personal story of commitment, intense emotions, growing distances and the memories that pass from one generation to the next.
Juhi Babbar Soni is an actor, writer, director and theatre practitioner, and recipient of the Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar. Her theatre practice includes With Love, Aap ki Saiyaara and Ek Lamhaa Zindagi – A Love Story 1938–1979, both written, directed and performed by her.
