Kolkata Centre for Creativity presents Dastaan-e-Dev Anand, a musical-theatrical production tracing the life, memories and cinema of Dev Anand.
Blending narration, live singing and music, the production looks back at the actor’s journey and the screen presence that made him one of the most recognisable figures of Hindi cinema. Rather than approaching his career as a conventional biography, the performance brings together stories and songs in a lively dramatic format.
Sohaila Kapur and Nidhikant Pandey lead the narration, with Devanand Jha performing live and Adhir Das, Amit Kumar and Jeetu Nadaan accompanying as musicians.
The production first opened on 26 September 2025 at the Gaiety Heritage Theatre, Shimla, and is presented by Three Arts Club and Katyayani Production, with Anuradha Dar as producer.
Founded in 1943, Three Arts Club has a long association with theatre, music and the performing arts. Revived as Three Arts Club 2.0, it continues to bring together live performance, music and storytelling while creating platforms for contemporary practitioners and younger artists.
