Kolkata Centre for Creativity presents Tissue Tales: The Art of Decoupage, a hands-on workshop led by decoupage artist and facilitator Priti Parasrampuria.
The workshop introduces participants to decoupage, a decorative technique in which printed tissue is applied to a surface and worked into the base. Using decorative German tissues on MDF (Medium-Density Fibreboard), participants will also learn how stencil work can be incorporated into the composition to create a cohesive finished design.
The session offers an introduction to a versatile technique that can be adapted to different objects and surfaces. By the end of the workshop, each participant will have created a decoupaged cheese platter with two matching coasters to take home.
Priti Parasrampuria is a decoupage artist and workshop facilitator with an interest in giving everyday objects a new decorative character. Through her hands-on workshops, she introduces the technique in an accessible way for beginners and craft enthusiasts alike.
