KCC’s AMI Arts Festival 2024 presents a unique storytelling workshop – an engaging exploration of India’s ancient storytelling arts designed for school students. This event brings to life the art of storytelling through Mime and Dastangoi—two captivating forms that each offer a distinct way to convey emotion, tradition, and meaning.
Through Mime, students will experience the power of non-verbal expression, as gestures, body language, and facial expressions combine to tell stories that transcend language and cultural boundaries. In contrast, Dastangoi, an art form originating from Persia and flourishing in India during the Mughal period, showcases rich, spoken narratives. Known for its epic tales of heroism and adventure, Dastangoi revives a tradition that speaks to the heart of South Asian storytelling heritage.
The event is open to all with prior registration.
