At Kolkata Centre for Creativity, we are proud to present KCC Ramjhol 3.0: Stories and Melodies from Rajasthan—a three-day celebration honouring the vibrance, complexity, and timeless beauty of Rajasthani art and tradition.

Curatorial Note

The word Ramjhol, interpreted as पाजेब (anklet) or झांझर (traditional ornament), symbolizes far more than ornamentation. It evokes मेल-मिलाप—coming together—and the joy of collective celebration. Just like the rhythmic jingle of anklets in a dance, Ramjhol resonates with the sounds of festivity, connection, and shared cultural heritage.

In some contexts, the term Ramjhol refers to a Ghoomar/dance that incorporates the sounds of these ankle bells, creating a swirling visual and auditory experience

In Bengali spirit, one might even call it a reason for hoichoi—a jubilant celebration of unity, bonding, and cultural camaraderie.

‘रमझोळ’ शब्द का अर्थ है पैरो की झांझर, लेकिन इसका भाव इससे कहीं अधिक गहरा है। यह मेल-मिलाप, उत्सव, और सामूहिक आनंद का प्रतीक है। जिस तरह किसी नृत्य में पाजेब की रुनझुन ताल देती है, वैसे ही रमझोळ लोक सांस्कृतिक ध्वनि और जुड़ाव की प्रतीक है।

बंगाली परंपरा में कहें तो यह "होई-चोई" का भी एक बहाना है — उत्साह, अपनापन और संस्कृति का मिलन- एक उत्सव से बढ़कर।

KCC रमझोळ 3.0 सिर्फ एक कार्यक्रम नहीं, बल्कि एक संस्कृति संवाद मंच है। यह राजस्थान की जीवंत परंपराओं — मौखिक कथाओं, संगीत, हस्तकला और आत्मिक लोक जीवन — से रूबरू होने का अवसर है।
