Time: 11AM - 7PM
Venue: Kolkata Centre for Creativity, Ground Floor
Kolkata Centre for Creativity presents Threads Become a Story, an exhibition by celebrated textile revivalist and designer Gaurang Shah, featuring a remarkable collection of 100 heirloom textiles that honour the richness and diversity of India's weaving traditions.
Bringing together exquisite examples of Ikat, Pochampally, Jamdani, and intricate tie-and-dye techniques, the exhibition celebrates the artistry of master weavers whose skills have been passed down through generations. Each textile reflects a dialogue between heritage and innovation, revealing stories of craftsmanship, culture, and identity woven into every thread.
More than an exhibition of textiles, Threads Become a Story is an exploration of India's living handloom legacy—its traditions, regional histories, and enduring relevance in contemporary design.
