The Open Umbrella Project: Chapter 2

Date: 3 May 2025
Time: 4:00 PM onwards
Venue: KCC Amphitheatre

KCC is here with Chapter 2 of The Open Umbrella Project, an innovative initiative founded by Deblina Saha. This project aims to create a positive change in society by challenging stereotypes, prejudices, and promoting inclusion, diversity, and equality. By opening minds to different perspectives, and fostering meaningful conversations, the project seeks to dismantle societal barriers and foster a more inclusive and empathetic community.

The umbrella symbolizes openness and protection, covering diverse perspectives. Individuals with experiences of prejudice or exclusion can be called "Umbrellas" because they provide coverage, insight, and a safe space for others. And those who come to engage, learn, and challenge their own biases can be called "The open-minded explorer" or "Seekers”, representing their pursuit of understanding and growth under the protective space of the umbrella.

Join us this May to share real-life stories and personal experiences with one another, while confronting your own biases and prejudices.
