The Language of Lines
Date: 6 June 2026
Time: 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM
Venue: KCC Gallery Store, 2nd Floor
KCC presents The Language of Lines, a workshop on line drawing and abstraction led by artist Palash Chandra Baidya. Designed as an exploratory and practice-based session, the workshop examines the expressive possibilities of line as a visual language.
Participants will engage in experimental drawing exercises that transform thoughts, emotions, observations, and abstract ideas into visual form. Focusing on rhythm, movement, intuition, and mark-making, the workshop encourages participants to move beyond representation and approach drawing as a process of thinking, feeling, and creating.
Suitable for art students, emerging artists, and creative enthusiasts aged 15 years and above, the workshop creates space for individual exploration while developing confidence in visual expression and abstraction.

About the facilitator:
Palash Chandra Baidya is an artist whose practice centres on drawing, abstraction, and visual experimentation. His work explores the relationship between movement, thought, and line, often approaching drawing as an open-ended and process-driven form of expression. Alongside his artistic practice, he regularly conducts workshops that encourage creative exploration and individual expression through drawing.
