The Heart Song

Date: 21 December 2025 | Sunday
Time: 6:00 PM onwards
Venue: KCC Amphitheatre

Kolkata Centre for Creativity invites you to an enchanting evening where music, movement and prayer flow into one seamless offering, as a part of AMI Arts Festival 2025. Parvathy Baul, one of the most powerful contemporary voices of the Baul path, joins saxophonist and composer George Brooks, whose improvisational depth bridges global traditions with Indian classical thought. Together, they will shape a meditative performance that transcends borders of faith and language.

Rooted in a centuries-old yogic lineage shaped by Buddhism, Vaishnavism, Sufism and Tantra, the Baul tradition turns simple stories into spiritual journeys. Through song, rhythm and colloquial Bengali poetry, the duo will open a space where every gesture becomes a passage into another state of being.
