KCC presents The Batik Leather Studio, a two-day hands-on workshop introducing participants to the distinctive craft of leather batik and bag making. Combining traditional resist-dyeing techniques with leather craft, the workshop offers a rare opportunity to explore a specialised art form while creating a functional object from start to finish.
Participants will learn the complete process of designing and executing a batik pattern on leather before transforming the finished material into a handcrafted bag. Guided through each stage, from design transfer and colour application to construction and finishing, participants will gain practical experience while developing an understanding of the techniques and processes involved in the craft.
Designed for beginners and creative enthusiasts alike, the workshop requires no prior experience. By the end of the programme, each participant will take home a unique handmade leather batik bag created during the sessions.
