On December 21st, Shonibarer Adda brings its lively session to the KCC's AMI Arts Festival for Soundscapes of Kolkata, a session dedicated to the evocative sounds of the city. In true adda style, the event will feature literary readings and poetry recitations capturing Kolkata’s sounds that define Kolkata.
In true adda style, attendees will experience Bengali songs, live renditions and recreations of feriwala calls—from vendors selling everything from fish to sweetmeats, flowers to tools—and an audio montage tracing Kolkata’s history from 1690 to today.
Join us for an afternoon of sound, memory, and conversation, featuring anchor Deotima Ganguly, audiographer Subhadeep Sengupta, and a special guest performance.
