ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Rudrangshu Mukherjee is a historian, author, and Chancellor and Professor of History at Ashoka University, where he was the founding Vice Chancellor. He is widely respected for his scholarship on Indian history and nationalism, and is the author of acclaimed works such as Nehru & Bose: Parallel Lives, Awadh in Revolt 1857–58, Spectre of Violence, The Year of Blood, and Dateline 1857. His writing combines rigorous research with a storyteller’s clarity, making him one of India’s most compelling public intellectuals.
