Silt, Spice & Soul

Date: 8 August 2026
Time: 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
Venue: KCC Café

Kolkata Centre for Creativity presents Silt, Spice & Soul, a unique sit-down supper club experience that marks the culmination of the three-part talk series Crossing Borders, Sharing Flavours.

A meal carries stories long before it reaches the table. It carries the journeys of people, the movement of ingredients, the landscapes that nurture them, and the memories that keep traditions alive.

Curated by food anthropologists Dr. Amrita Bhattacharya and Amit Sen, the evening explores how migration, trade, and cultural exchange have shaped the food we know today. Through a thoughtfully curated tasting menu, guests will discover how traditional recipes transformed as communities crossed borders, encountered new landscapes, and adapted to local ingredients.

Blending storytelling with gastronomy, Silt, Spice & Soul offers an immersive dining experience where every course carries a history, and every flavor tells a story of memory and identity.
