Ravan Reloaded, a new perspective on the mythological figure of Ravan designed and directed by Debasish, is all set to be staged at KCC’s AMI Arts Festival 2024!
Written impromptu by Debasish at an intensive 10-day workshop at KCC, this thought-provoking performance explores Ravan as a product of flawed social structures rather than pure evil. The story follows the journey of the son of a Ramleela performer who travels from a rural village to Mumbai to pursue his dream of becoming an actor. Unfortunately, Mumbai welcomes him harshly and forces him to change his career path.
Featuring 10 exceptional actors from West Bengal, the production is the result of KCC Arts Lab 7.0's immersive, site-specific theatre practice. Book your seats now to gain a new perspective on one of mythology’s most complex figures!
