A heart-warming Hindi adaptation of Neil Simon's classic comedy play The Sunshine Boys awaits you at KCC’s AMI Arts Festival this November!
D for Drama’s Puraane Chawal, directed by Sumeet Vyas and performed by Kumud Mishra and Shubhrajyoti Barat, is a tribute to the golden era of Indian comedy. Set in Mumbai, the play follows the journey of two iconic comedians, Mr. Mehndi and Mr. VD, who once dominated the comedy scene for over 42 years. After a mysterious fallout, the two haven't spoken in over a decade, but fate has a different plan. Reunited for the country’s biggest comedy festival, their old rivalry threatens to ruin their comeback. Can they set aside their differences and reignite the magic that made them legends? Or will their feud bring the curtain down on their legacy?
