Kolkata Centre for Creativity presents जितना कम सामान रहेगा - Meera, Kabir aur Kavita, a contemplative musical experience featuring acclaimed singer-songwriter, poet, and cultural entrepreneur Chinmayi Tripathi.

Situated at the intersection of music, literature, and spiritual inquiry, the programme reflects on the enduring poetic and philosophical traditions of the Bhakti movement through the timeless voices of Meera Bai and Kabir.

Moving beyond a conventional musical performance, the evening unfolds as an exploration of devotional poetry, oral traditions, and folk-inspired musical expressions that have shaped the cultural imagination of the Indian subcontinent. Through carefully curated compositions, narrative interludes, and contemporary interpretations, Chinmayi brings new perspectives to verses that continue to resonate across generations.

The performance invites audiences to engage with Bhakti poetry as a living tradition, exploring its relevance through themes of devotion, longing, surrender, love, transcendence, resistance, and self-realisation. It offers a thoughtful encounter with India’s literary and musical heritage, reinterpreted through a contemporary artistic lens.
