Discover how toys come to life at Make Your Own Monster Toy, an interactive workshop with acclaimed toy designer Suhasini Paul. Part of this year’s AMI Arts Festival, this session is suitable for all age groups, covering all the essential textile toy-making skills through easy, no-sew methods. Participants will use everyday materials to create their own Mini Monster Toy, while also learning about sustainability in design and how toys can convey personality and storytelling. 
With guided support throughout, this two-hour experience offers a perfect balance of learning, relaxation, and hands-on creativity, ending with a fun keepsake to take home.

List of Materials to bring along with you:
  • Basic stationery: pens, pencils, and erasers
  • A plain old T-shirt or any cotton/felt fabric (approx. 12 x 12 inches)
  • Needle and thread (any colour)
  • Medium-sized scissors suitable for cutting fabric
  • A4 white sheets
  • Fabric glue
  • Soft toy stuffing: polyester or cotton

About the Facilitator
 Suhasini Paul is a pioneering Indian toy designer whose creations blend innovation, playfulness, and purpose. With years of experience designing toys for global brands, she brings expertise in material use, form, and child-centred design.
