KCC Offstage Season 3 Episode 4 presents The Miliputs, a Kolkata-based indie folk-rock band that reinterprets traditional Bengali folk music through contemporary arrangements and influences. Blending folk melodies with original compositions, their music connects traditional forms with contemporary listening experiences. 

Formed in 2012 by Sharoni Poddar and Debmalya Dey, the band released their debut album Bangla Folk in 2016 through Hindustan Records. Over the years, they have performed across India, Europe, and Bangladesh, and featured on television and radio platforms. 

Set within the intimate setting of KCC Offstage, the episode brings together songs and stories shaped by Bengali folk traditions and contemporary musical influences. 

About the Band 

The Miliputs is a Kolkata-based indie folk-rock band formed in 2012 by Sharoni Poddar and Debmalya Dey. Their music draws from Bengali folk traditions while incorporating contemporary arrangements and original compositions. 

The band released their debut album Bangla Folk in 2016 through Hindustan Records and has since performed across India, Europe, and Bangladesh. Sharoni Poddar also composes original music and has contributed vocals to web series including Indubala Bhater Hotel, Charitraheen, and Eken Babu.
