ABOUT THE PERFORMERS: 

Padma Bhushan Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhatt is a globally acclaimed musician and the creator of the Mohan Veena, a unique hybrid of the slide guitar and Indian classical string instruments. A disciple of the legendary Pandit Ravi Shankar, Bhatt is renowned for his innovative artistry, blending the intricate nuances of Indian classical music with global styles like blues, jazz, and folk. He achieved international fame by winning a Grammy Award in 1994 for his collaborative album A Meeting by the River with Ry Cooder. Honored with the prestigious Padma Bhushan, Pandit Bhatt's groundbreaking performances have captivated audiences worldwide, making him a true ambassador of Indian classical music on the global stage.  

Pandit Subhen Chatterjee is a Grammy-nominated tabla and percussion virtuoso celebrated for his versatility and innovative approach to rhythm. Trained under the legendary Pandit Swapan Chaudhuri, he seamlessly blends traditional Indian classical music with global genres, creating a dynamic and contemporary soundscape. As the founder of the pioneering fusion band Karma, Pandit Chatterjee has collaborated with eminent artists from India and abroad, showcasing his mastery across diverse musical styles. His Grammy nomination for the album Miles from India highlights his contribution to cross-cultural musical dialogues. With a career spanning decades, he continues to inspire and enchant audiences worldwide.  

Amyt Datta is a trailblazing guitar virtuoso and one of India’s most innovative musicians. Known for his genre-defying style, he blends blues, jazz, rock, and experimental music with unparalleled finesse. A self-taught maestro, Amyt has been at the forefront of India’s independent music scene, inspiring generations of musicians with his originality and technical brilliance. As a composer, educator, and performer, he has collaborated with iconic artists and pushed the boundaries of conventional guitar playing. Revered for his improvisational genius, Amyt Datta continues to shape the musical landscape with his ground-breaking artistry and visionary sound.
