Kolkata Centre for Creativity is proud to present the third episode of KCC Offstage, Season 2 featuring Koushik Chakraborty in a specially curated session titled Ebong Koushik. This signature series invites audiences to have rare, intimate encounters with some of the country’s most impactful artists. 

This edition explores Koushik’s personal and creative evolution—his relationship with language and sound, his journey through Bengali folk and Bangla rock, and the foundation of his iconic band Prithibi, which celebrates its anniversary this August. 
Through unplugged performances and heartfelt storytelling, Koushik will revisit celebrated tracks, reveal untold stories behind the lyrics, and reflect on the politics, poetry, and power of music. 

Join us for a unique evening of conversation and performance, where Koushik revisits iconic songs, shares untold stories, and reflects on the evolving soundscape of Kolkata’s independent music scene.

ABOUT THE PERFORMER: 

Koushik Chakraborty is a pioneering voice in the Bangla rock movement, known for his distinct blend of folk lyricism and rock energy. As the founder and lead vocalist of the band Prithibi, he has produced four studio albums and numerous acclaimed singles. 

Shaped by Bengali folk traditions, Koushik’s musical journey spans two and a half decades, encompassing live performances across the world, award-winning music videos, and film playback, including the recent notable contribution, 'Shotyi bole shotyi kichu nei' from Srijit Mukherjee's project.
