The second episode of this season's KCC Offstage features features the ever-soulful Iman Chakraborty in an exclusive evening of music, memory, and rediscovery. 

The session opens with Iman’s evocative renditions of Rabindrasangeet and Bengali folk songs, where her voice becomes a bridge between past and present. These timeless compositions, interpreted with her unique emotional depth, create an atmosphere steeped in nostalgia, reverence, and warmth. 

In the second half, the mood shifts—Iman turns to her own beloved repertoire, but with a fresh, experimental twist. Songs are reimagined, allowing new textures and interpretations to emerge.  

Woven through the music are spontaneous conversations and untold stories—glimpses into the personal and artistic journey of a performer who continues to redefine boundaries. Expect intimacy, candour, and connection in a way that only Offstage can offer.

ABOUT THE PERFORMER

Iman Chakraborty is a National Award-winning Indian singer celebrated for her distinctive voice and deep emotional range. Trained in Rabindrasangeet, Hindustani classical, and diverse folk traditions, she rose to fame with the song "Tumi Jake Bhalobasho" from Praktan, earning her the National Award for Best Female Playback Singer in 2016. 

Iman’s versatility shines through her chartbusters like "Rangabati" (Gotro), "Maati Amar" (Mahananda), and "Tapa Tini" (Belashuru), as well as her work in films such as Guptodhoner Shondhane, Uronchondi, and Raktabeej. Beyond playback singing, she’s known for her independent music, live performances, and mentorship on Zee Bangla Sa Re Ga Ma Pa. 

In 2025, she was nominated for an Oscar for her original song “Ti Maa” (Putul), marking a significant global milestone. Iman continues to nurture new talent through her own Iman Sangeet Academy, and reaches wide audiences with original and cover releases via her YouTube channel.
