Gyan Seepiyan – Pearls of Wisdom with Devdutt Pattanaik

Date: 1 August 2026
Time: 4:30 PM
Venue: KCC 4th Floor

Kolkata Centre for Creativity presents Gyan Seepiyan – Pearls of Wisdom, a session with mythologist and author Devdutt Pattanaik.

Bakasura was hungry… is that good or bad?

Through the story of Bakasura from the Mahabharata, Devdutt Pattanaik explores the complex relationship between hunger, ambition, desire, and greed. The session examines how ancient stories offer insights into human behaviour, decision-making, leadership, and the choices that shape societies.

Blending mythology with contemporary reflections, the conversation reveals how timeless narratives continue to provide new ways of understanding ourselves and the world around us.
