Empowerment through Inclusion
Date: 3rd December, 2025
Time: 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Venue: KCC, Fourth Floor
As part of AMI Arts Festival 2025, Kolkata Centre for Creativity in collaboration with The Hans Foundation, marks the International Day of Persons with Disabilities with a special DEAI event themed “Empowerment through Inclusion.”
This two-hour programme combines advocacy, performance, and community dialogue. It opens with an inclusive inauguration and a keynote by a disability rights advocate, followed by cultural performances by talented participants with disabilities. The “Breaking Barriers” panel brings together persons with disabilities, caregivers, therapists, and social workers for meaningful dialogue. Interactive simulations will invite audiences to experience and reflect on the realities of accessibility, while an awareness skit adds further perspective.
The event will also honour achievers and allies who contribute to inclusion, culminating in a collective pledge for accessibility and equity.
Designed for students, educators, caregivers, and the public, the programme celebrates ability, rights, and community-led empowerment.
