Nav Utthan Group is a pioneering dance troupe that consists of talented artists with disabilities, specializing in wheelchair dance and stunts. Through their performances, they challenge societal perceptions of disability, empowering individuals with disabilities and raising awareness about their abilities.
The group has garnered several key achievements. They set a remarkable record with a stunning wheelchair drop, which was featured in the India Book of Records. Additionally, they gained national recognition with appearances on popular television shows like India’s Got Talent and Big Celebrity Challenge. Nav Utthan Group is also the only dance troupe in India that performs high-flying wheelchair stunts, including daring 12-foot jumps and stair descents, showcasing their courage and skill.
The group's mission is to promote self-reliance through performance art while showcasing the capabilities of people with disabilities.
The event is free and open to all; however, standard Victoria Memorial Hall entry fees apply.
