বিভূতিভূষণ ও ইন্দ্রিয়ের পরিসর

A thoughtful literary–spiritual conversation celebrating the 132nd birth anniversary year of one of Bengal’s most cherished literary figures, Bibhutibhushan Bandyopadhyay.

This special session brings together noted educator Abdul Kafi and novelist Swami Sanmatrananda in an engaging dialogue that explores the subtle interplay of sensory perception, nature, and spirituality within the author’s literary universe. The moderator for this discussion is Tathagata Banerjee, the elder grandson of Bibhutibhushan.

In his writings, nature is never a mere backdrop. Forests, rivers, village paths, shifting light and silence unfold through sight, sound, touch, smell, and taste — becoming profound mediums through which the inner life of his characters is revealed. His evocation of rural Bengal carries not only lyrical beauty but also a philosophical depth rooted in lived experience and contemplative awareness.

About the Speakers
