Kolkata Centre for Creativity presents বিভূতিবাবু বাড়ি আছেন?, a dramatized reading that brings together characters from the works of Bibhutibhushan Bandyopadhyay in a staged performance with music.
The presentation imagines a meeting between the author and his own creations. Characters such as Sarbajaya, Apu, Durga, and Shankar appear on stage, entering into a dialogue not only with each other but also with Bibhutibhushan himself, who is present as a character within the performance.
Through these exchanges, the narrative reflects the emotional and creative processes behind the writing of well-known works. Questions of memory, experience, grief, and imagination emerge as the characters engage with their creator and revisit their own stories.
The play has been directed by Anirban Bhattacharyya, featuring actors Biswanath Basu, Senjuti Mukhopadhyay, and Anujoy Chattopadhyay, among other performers.
