Basabadol is a compelling contemporary theatre production that reflects on migration—not across borders, but within lives, memories, and identities. Rooted in an old house on the verge of change, the play unfolds through an unusual cast of characters: an elderly man, a nameless middleman, and everyday objects that speak with startling clarity.

As conversations move between a bed, a pair of shoes, and their unseen owner, questions of class, power, intimacy, and belonging slowly surface. The play blends into lived experience, and humour gives way to moments of quiet violence and deep vulnerability. What is inherited? What is buried? And who truly owns a life or a name? With its intimate scale, poetic language, and strong performances by a mixed ensemble of talented actors, Basabadol offers a thought-provoking and immersive theatre experience.
