AMI (আমি), the Bengali word for ‘I’, reflects the festival's enduring commitment to self-expression, dialogue and the exchange of ideas across disciplines, cultures and communities. Conceived by Kolkata Centre for Creativity, AMI Arts Festival returns for its annual month-long edition from 20th November to 20th December 2026, bringing together artists, practitioners and audiences through a diverse programme presented across KCC and some of Kolkata's iconic cultural venues. 

This year's festival spans exhibitions, an art fair, performances: music, dance, theatre, film screenings, talks, workshops, residencies, open calls and DEAI initiatives, creating opportunities for artistic practice, collaboration, critical engagement and public participation. 

Over the years, AMI Arts Festival has established itself as one of India's leading multidisciplinary arts festivals, contributing to Kolkata's position as a centre for artistic exchange. Each edition brings together established and emerging practitioners whose work reflects the diversity and evolving nature of contemporary creative practice.
