AI & I: The Creative Compact

Date: 13 February 2026
Time: 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM
Venue: KCC Library

Kolkata Centre for Creativity presents AI & I: The Creative Compact, an evening of discussion and reflection on the growing presence of artificial intelligence in the creative arts.

The programme brings together Ravi Shankar Etteth, world-renowned illustrator, political cartoonist, editor, and author, in conversation with Anjum Katyal, writer, editor, and Director of the Apeejay Kolkata Literary Festival. Drawing from his four-decade-long career across print, television, publishing, and visual art, Ravi Shankar reflects on how AI is reshaping creative processes and how artists can engage with these tools while remaining rooted in personal vision and integrity.

The discussion explores AI’s quiet yet transformative impact on poems, songs, images, and editorial practice, offering insights into the evolving compact between human creativity and machine intelligence. Moderated by Anjum Katyal, the session will be followed by an interactive Q&A with the audience, as part of Fridays@KCC.
