ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Agnee is one of India’s most dynamic and popular indie rock bands, known for their original, easy-to-love tunes and a sound that bridges contemporary rock with Indian classical influences. Co-founded in 2007 by lead vocalist Mohan Kannan and guitarist Kaustubh Dhavale aka Koko, with Hrishikesh on drums and Chirayu on bass, the band has been a mainstay in the independent music scene for over 18 years. Since their debut album Agnee (2007), they have released more than 50 singles and were among the first in India to share music online for free.
Along with some prestigious music awards, such as GIMA, MTV Video Music Award, and Spikes Asia, Agnee has featured on MTV Unplugged, Times of Music, and The Dewarists, and composed for films and shows such as The Avengers, Why Cheat India, Roadies, and India’s Got Talent. Their music remains a concoction of heart and depth with an unmistakable Indian identity.
