A fun and engaging session designed to nurture one’s imaginative and lyrical instincts, this workshop will introduce participants to the vibrant world of Bengali folk music. Through playful activities that blend rhythm, melody, and storytelling, participants will learn how to transform their thoughts and emotions into original songs inspired by the rich traditions of Bengal.
Led by an experienced folk musician and facilitator, this interactive workshop will explore themes from everyday life, crafting simple lyrics, discovering traditional tunes, and understanding the essence of oral musical traditions. Participants will get to experiment with sounds and words, work both individually and in groups, and share their creations in a friendly, supportive environment. No prior musical training is required.
