Anamika Kala Sangam Trust is privileged to present Ustad Shafique Khan who represents a reputed Gharana of Sitar-players and who is propagating SITAR in southern India. 
Grandson of the legendary Rahimat Khan, son of Prof Abdul Karim Khan, Shafique ji had the privilege of training in the truest traditions of a Gharanedaar - from his father,  elder brothers Ustad Usman Khan & Ustad Bale Khan.

Noted for his sterling performances in leading music festivals of the country & in USA & Europe, he is the recipient of the prestigious Bharat Ratna Pandit Bhimsen Joshi Award, Surmani title & other honours.

Ustad Shafique Khan is a valued member of the staff of ALL INDIA RADIO, Dharwad.
It is a matter of great honour that we present Shri Ashis Sengupta who represents a unique repertoire & musicality that does justice to Tabla Solo as well as Accompaniment with Vocal & Instrumental Music and Kathak Dance.

Recipient TAALMANI, Senior Fellowship of Ministry of Culture, Govt of India, Fellowship of Sangeet Natak Academy and others, Shri Ashis Sengupta has distinguished himself in national music festivals and in the international arena. He was featured in special programmes by German Radio & BBC and is a regular performer for ALL INDIA RADIO & DOORDARSHAN. His versatility & passion for promoting Classical Music is manifested in diverse areas including authoring a popular book titled "Facets of Tabla-playing," organizing concerts & festivals in India & across continents.

Trained in the Benaras & Lucknow Gharana "baaj" by reputed masters including his father Shri Ranjit Kumar Sengupta, Pt Nanku Maharaj, Pt Mahapurush Mishra, Acharya Krishna Kumar Ganguly, and, currently, Padmashri Pt Swapan Chaudhuri. We welcome Shri Ashis sengupta.

Abanti Bhattacharjee, an Inborn talent, a musical family-background & had opportunity of training under renowned Gurus like Smt Purobi Ganguly, Gyan Saraswati Shreela Bandyopadhyay, Vidushi Purnima Sen. Her specialization in the Light Classical forms of Thumri, Dadra, Chaiti, Kajri, have strong foundations of BENARAS GHARANA TALEEM under Vidushi Dalia Rahut, the leading disciple of Padma Vibhushan Girija Devi. 
  
Abanti ji is crowned by the prestigious SARVOTTAM KALAKAR GIRIJA DEVI AWARD in 2017. she is an acknowledged trainer & is associated with Rabindra Bharati University as an examiner.
Shrimati Abanti Bhattacharjee is accompanied by Shri Aurobinda Bhattacharjee on Tabla, Shri Kamalaksha Mukherjee on Harmonium & Shri Debashish Halder on Sarangi. 
Each of these musicians are specialists in their respective areas & widely acknowledged for their performances all over the country.
