Lost and Found: A zine-making workshop

Date: 14 June 2025
Time: 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Venue: KCC Studio Room, 4th floor

Recommended age: 16 years and above

Fees: INR 1000

KCC invites you to a playful zine-making workshop — a hands-on session exploring the imaginative potential of what is forgotten, transforming it into expressive visual narratives.

Zines, short for fanzines or magazines, have long served as democratic, DIY tools for self-expression, political critique, and community building. Rooted in countercultural and underground traditions, zines invite participants to think with their hands — cutting, pasting, drawing, sequencing — as they construct intimate, idiosyncratic publications that bypass the boundaries of formal publishing. This workshop offers participants a curated archive of “lost” images — anonymous portraits, vintage postcards, out-of-context clippings — that serve as the starting point for new and speculative stories. The emphasis will be on play, improvisation, and creative risk-taking, allowing each participant to develop a zine that is wholly their own.

All materials will be provided.
