ARTIST TO ENTREPRENEUR 2.0

Our ‘Artist to Entrepreneur’ talk series was felt to be a need of time that we responded to eagerly, and with sincerity. During the pandemic, the field of Art, which has been run by public participation, patronage and grants, faced a scarcity of resources. KCC, as an organization devoted to wholesome growth of art, artists and social communities, identified this time to be the high time for artists and art organizations to start introspective conversations to inspire economic planning that will help the world of art to survive and sustain, through the discussions with Artists with their own unique entrepreneurial endeavours. In 2021, Mallika Sarabhai, Director of Darpana Academy of Performing Arts was in conversation with Reena Dewan (Director, KCC) where she spoke at length about her dance academy ‘Darpana’, the present scenario of art and expounded on the role of democracy in promoting the arts.
